Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo, CO, is seeking a mission-driven Human Resources Director.

  • HR Communications and Employee Relations Enhancement
  • HR Operations, Compliance and Records Management
  • Compensation and Benefits Administration

This position entails the following:


  1. Coordinate and direct recruitment activities.
  2. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  3. Provide support and counsel to managers in staffing and employee relations problems.
  4. Provide management training regarding evaluation process, staff competencies, and department orientation.
  5. Implement formal and informal communication measures to ensure that employees are made aware of key events, policies, and practices.
  6. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the Wage and Hour regulations that affect pay administration.
  7. Facilitate and ensure appropriate coordination of Worker’s Compensation, Family and Medical Leave , and Disability programs.
  8. Provide new employee orientation as well as ongoing staff development.
  9. Serve as member of the Management Team and Safety Committee.
  10. Administer Managed Disability Program.
  11. Provide employee-management relations training and support.
  12. Annually review safety policies for LCH to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital practice.
  13. Annually review the number of injuries, types and costs for department{hospital?} as well as provide effective corrective action which results in reduction of accidents.
  14. Annually review and maintain updated job descriptions, performance evaluations, orientation checklists and competencies.


Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in job related field required.  Combination of on-the-job training & experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Experience is a plus, but we are excited to discuss this position with recent graduates as well. Certifications such as SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or CHHR are strongly desired.
